Custard:
4 eggs
½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
2 ½ cups milk, scalded
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Cranberry sauce:
1 16 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir in 2 ½ cups of scalded milk. Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Place in the oven for 35 – 40 minutes. Do not overbake! When finished, the custard should be firm, but gel-like.
Cranberry sauce:
To prepare, place sauce in a small saucepan. Add cinnamon and heat mixture on medium low heat until warm. To serve, place a portion of custard in a bowl and drizzle with warm cranberry sauce.
