Preheat oven to 400°F. Thaw puff pastry; roll out on a well-floured surface so it will fully cover the brie. Toast almonds. Cut wheel of brie in half horizontally using unflavored dental floss and separate. Top bottom half of brie with toasted almonds, cherries, and brown sugar. Replace the top half of the brie. Place the brie in the middle of the puff pastry and fold excess pastry around the wheel. Brush beaten egg over entire puff pastry. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Turn oven down to 325°F and bake for another 20 minutes.
